    Thumbs up

    Thanks alot sir !!!

Too bad, I went to the store after bought my 4GB Micro SD and had to return / replace the card 3 times just to find out it still doesn't work! We almost gave up...

Your solution solve it on my BB 8310.

    Fixed it

Instructions on the fix may not be clear to some.....here's what I did:

First, make sure your BB is connected to your computer with USB cable and your memory card is in your phone.

After downloading to desktop right click the .rar file and extract with a zip program (such as 7-zip free)
Once extracted open the folder then:

    (from .txt instruction file)
    Run BB storage Activation.exe
    Press any key
    Wait till reboot
    close
    Thats all

The program will autoreboot your BB and once it turns on again your computer will now recognize your BB's memory as 1 drive and the memory card and as 2nd drive.

    Pretty straight forward.

Just wanted to chime in to say that I've had this exact same problem since I got my Bold last month, and the fix in the original post worked like a dream. Thanks.

just got a replacement storm (screen was toast on the other one) and the replacement didn't show up as drive letter when connected.

after much searching, found, downloaded, and ran this program and it fixed it. thanks very much!!!

nice write up. i noticed the program/script goes to 'press any key to continue' and so i pressed, and it did 'something' and then came up with 'press any key to continue' again, etc., etc. i then realized the bb was already rebooting and that i didn't have to keep pressing a key. not totally user-friendly, but got the job done! in the end i did Ctrl-C to quit the script.
maybe this will help someone else.
