I haven't posted here in a while. There is a leaked OS .161 out now. Is it against the rules to post a link to it here?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is the OS that came loaded on the Torch.

When we talk OS's we look at the application version, which in this case is .141, not the package version, which is .278.

.246 is the latest and greatest.

    Package Version: 6.0.0.695
    Consisting of:
    • Applications: 6.0.0.246
    • Software Platform: 6.4.0.105
    • File name: 9800M_PBr6.0.0_rel695_PL6.4.0.105_A6.0.0.246_AT_am p_T.exe
    • File size: 161.7MB

I know I caught myself, not enough coffee this morning. Im running the .246 now and it runs really smooth. My main complaint so far is having only one convenience key and the virtual keys still being to small for anyone other than a 5 year old child

LOL! I know what you mean.

As for the convenience keys, you have some options....are you familiar with QuickLaunch?

I've also been beta testing a little app that turns the volume keys into convenience keys, except when you're in the apps that require volume adjustments. Should be available soon.

How about something to make the virtual keys bigger. That cant be that hard. Another gripe is how loose the screen gets from side to side. I have already swapped out for a new one and within a few weeks its the same thing. Just doesn't feel comfortable. I wish there was a way to go behind the battery and tighten it or something

Yeah, that seems to be a recurring issue for this device (loose slider). I, too exchanged mine out because of that and a squeaky physical keyboard.

Yeah, it's the .246 from AT&T. Let us know how the OTA upgrade goes. Have yet to try the OTA upgrade myself.

RogerG the ota upgrade was awsome. The only thing that is kind of lame is it would not let me download the upgrade untill i was connected to wifi not real sure why that is. The upgrade it self was way nicer than useing DM it backs up and restores also it was faster
