    Gary,

I did all of this, and managed to get the OS loaded. Then Desktop Manager wouldnt connect to the device, but I found a thred in pinstack, that has sorted that. My new problem is that my BBM is missing. When the OS was restored, I restored the information I previously backed up, but for some reason BBM isn't there. I've tried to download it, but none of the links I've tried is working. Any suggestions?

    Milz,

This is common and easily solved. BBM is in the device operating system you installed on your desktop.

Hook up to Desktop Manager and start Application Loader. Check the box for BBM and it will install it on your device. Then go to Back up/Restore, Advanced. Open your latest back up, and restore your BBM Contacts data base and you will be back in business.

    Post back any further issues!

Thanks Gary! I managed to get BBM back....but none of my contacts were there-even after I did a restore. It's nothing major though, cos I luckily still had everyone's PIN so I manually added them.

I checked this morning though, and somehow I'm back to having the .101 OS. But I did have .114 last night.

To be honest, I might just leave it as is for the moment...I don't know what I'm doing wrong, because I am following the instructions....but it took me hours yesterday to get back to the same place this morning! LOL! Never mind, I may try again another day!

Thanks for the help as always fellow stackers!

You have so much memory to play with that you won't notice the leak if there's any

Gonna try the "official" version.. Might have to get a Seidio extended battery, I was really spoiled with battery life from the original Curve and Bold. The Jav isn't bad, but it just doesn't feel like it's stacking up.

Yeah I've been on the been on the browser since I took it off the charger, off and on through-out the day, taken 3 calls (about 30min total) and that's it. The usual for me is longer calls, but still, my battery has never been this good.
