Thanks pdxmatts, I thought it was official given that I downloaded it from the Austrian operator's website.

With .168 I found that the precision related themes work ok. No errors. Only marketfilters is not working.

OK, will try downgrading it later. Thanks again.

    Edit:

All my problems may be the result of me not performing the Enterprise Activation. Having done that things are looking up.

Not really enjoying the .152 OS. Anyone have issues with that darn hourglass on big webpage loads? Seems to not let you do anything while it loads??? Din have an issue with my original OS from Rogers, though I do believe my batt life is better, slightly. Memory is at 96mb with very few apps installed too anyone got the same thing going on? Any issues with the .133 like this?

I currently have OS v4.6.1.114 (185) and I'm considering updating it .152 because I've heard that .152 speaker volume is louder.

    Questions:
    1. When I go to "back up" my 8900 prior to the new OS install is that actural backing up my current OS of .114? When/if I restore will in go back to .114?

    2. If restoring back to orgnianl OS from carrier do I need to restore the "vendor.xml" file prior

    3. If I were to install 8900 - 4.6.1.114 via Telefonica is it the exact as T-Mobile's .144.?

    4. Whey does T-Mobile via Blackberry web site doe not support BB 8900 software i.e. OS software? Any way to bug BB or T-mobile to add BB 8900 software support?

It's pretty well known that .152 had alot of bugs (thus so many running hybrids of .133 and .152 together to solve the issues). I would go with .168 if you are leery of .174 beta. The ringtones are really loud on all of these which I kinda am not liking myself but thats just me.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, some1 said 2 thmslvs "U knw, I really want 2 set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close engh to get the job done".

For install instruction to load any carrier 8900 OS on your BB:

    1. Download desired OS to your PC
    2. Install/run OS to PC
    3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (If your not on Orange UK)
    4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
    5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

I'm still running .114 and scared of upgrading. The only problem I had since I've gotten the 8900 since it was released was when watching youtube halfway. Phone would die. But not big of a problem since I usually don't watch it that much. One day I'll upgrade.

Any noticeable difference? Anything new at all or just random small bug fixes?

Honestly so far .174 has been the best for me and way better than .199 as well.

I totally agree... unless someone sees a noticable change, such as word wrap finally working or something like that, I'm not going to upgrade either. OS .174 has been great.
