What are the limitations with OS 6?
I've heard some things aren't fully capable with it as yet. Is it a beta version?

I just got my hands on another one so instead of selling it, Im going to finally put my Storm to rest

installed OS6 from essar. works great! great layout! though i had a hard time figuring out how to disable "dial from homescreen", so i just reloaded from a backup and now its disabled. though i still cant see how to enable it again. anybody knows how?
i am now checking if all my apps are working and so far, only yahoo messenger doesn't work. it says "uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" when i try to open YM. anybody knows how to fix this?

I have installed 6.0.0.380. What's the difference between what I have and 6.0.0.448?
It may be too early to tell!

I installed .448 last night. I had been experiencing serious memory leakage with .380 and had to do multiple battery pulls in a day. Glad to report that after 24 hours I’ve experienced minimum memory loss and have not had to pull battery all day.

I dislike BlackBerry's for the leaked memory issue. Not sure why they can't put an end to it. I just ran the Quickpull application and I went from 9.99mb of memory to 76.54mb of memory. So sad. I restart my device once or twice a day. I may have to try 6.0.0.448 it seems

That's crazy, smooth. I don't remember any serious leakage with the 9700 and with my Torch, there's little if any leakage at all.

Is anyone noticing significantly smoother switching between UMA and 3G on OS6 - less dropped calls? A T-Mobile rep admitted to me that there is a known issue with some 9700's dropping calls and being unable to transition smoothly...and mine is one that just isn't a winner apparently. I travel quite a bit, and I notice it happening in Milwaukee and Miami primarily, but it happens everywhere...

I am working to figure out what my next steps should be with T-Mob, and on my own. So would just love a little feedback. : )

    Happy Valentine's Weekend!

I haven't had any problem that you describe with the latest .448 build and im on t-moble with a 9700 but i don't switch from uma to 3g just 3g to EDGE which transitions smoothly

The 6.0.0.380 version had serious memory leakage. Maybe Roger you meant os5, because that software didn't have a major memory leak at all.
Ej there is no battery drain or memory leakage issue with 6.0.0.448. I love it!

Again - anyone noticing any UMA to 3G switching issues with any version software on their 9700, or more smooth transition on OS6?
