Not sure if this has been mentioned. Received the JVM 102 error/reset. While trying to attempt the reinstall. 1. Connected to Desktop Manager. 2. Application Loader. 3. Uninstalled the last program I installed before the error happened (in this case Viigo Beta version).

Didn't need to wipe os and then (lesson learned) immediately backed up.

Awesome job on the post! Worked like a charm. I just want to say that I went into an AT&T store to ask if they could fix the JVM error. They said "the phone is broke, there is nothing you can do, buy a new phone." An hour in front of my computer and the device was working great!

    1. Thank you
    2. Links need updating to point to OS for your provider, which is usually in model specific Forums, My O2 OS was in 8310 forum, but not in your link in this sticky article.
    3. JD loader needs to point to place to get it from, there's tons of stuff to sift through!
    4. You must be running Crays. On my very powerful, but Vista machine the process took hours............ I left it overnight at one stage, I got so bored watch the progress bar.

    But it works!!! Thanks.

My first post here will be to thank you guys.
I received my 8130 the other day, so I wanted to pass the 7100i down to my kid.
(Jeez, a 10 year old with a BB)

Anyway, I cleared the handset, set up his e mails and was ready to go. I rebooted and came back with the dreaded message.
I called Sprint. They BlackBerry "expert" said "I'm sorry. The phone is dead" Then she gave me the address of the nearest Sprint store. My motto is Never Say Die.
I followed the instructions in this thread, and now the phone is working faster than ever.

    Once again, thank you.

    Tub.

Question JL_Cmder connected Error: unknown rquest

When I try to fallow these steps I receive the message:
    Error: unknown request

    Command Completed!

To complete the factory reset, remove the battery ...

When I remove the battery and put the battery back in it just displays the JUM Error 102 Reset.

Any idea what I need to do?

    I am using BB Desktop 4.6.0, JL_Cmder v1.9.0.

    Thank you for your help.

Hi and welcome to pinstack! Is this occurring when you are attempting a wipe with JL_Cmder? What device are you using?

Take a look at this primer on JL_Cmder and see if it helps....

    Error 102 help

I cant get the BB connected to my PC. The desktop manager says disconnected and as far as the PC detecting it, it just chimes constantly like I am pulling the USB in and out, but I am not. Some one please help me to figure out how to stabilize the connection. I have downloaded the programs I need to do the wipe but I am unable to do so. Its a BB Curve 8320, the newest desktop manager and I have JL Commander.
