So, I think I've managed to install a hybrid OS onto my 9000, but how on earth do I check to make sure it's there? This is NOTHING like the iPhone or Androids where you can SEE that you have changed the operating system.
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

It should be in Options/About on the third line down. v5.0.0.xxx or something like that.

I figured it out, even the hybrids have those elusive stupid ATT apps, BUT there are themes that are not available otherwise...I used JSD9000 v 7.0, rather nice! And the menu animations are pretty cool too!

Yeah, as has been pointed out, that's all stuff that is pushed to your device from AT&T. Take Laura's advice and create yourself a junk folder, move it all there, then hide the folder. Out of site, out of mind. I did the same thing myself.
