    Holster settings - Help needed

    Hi all

Iv just got a new Blackberry 9900 and im still getting used to some of the things but the most annoying thing at the minute is that as soon as i take the phone out of the holster it automaticly opens the application with a new message on. So if a new text is there, it will automaticly open that application and text. Can anyone help how to turn this off ? I did this for phone calls all ok no problem but for the life of me i cant get this turned off for the emails and text messages. Iv gone to options and either text or email and there is no part that says aboout changing the display and actions ?
Any help would be really appreciated as this is driving me mad at the minute !

Thanks all for taking the time to read/help

    Hi RogerG

Have tired that but where is says -message displays and actions that isnt on the list of available actions ?
    1. On the Home screen, click the Messages icon.
    2. Press the key > Options > Message Display and Actions.
    3. Change the Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster field.
    4. Press the key > Save.

I don't have my 9900 anymore, so I can't check for you, but that's what the manual says to do.

Try pulling your battery for a minute or so. Leave the device powered ON, remove the battery, then replace the battery. See if that option then appears for you.

You have to wait 'til after work to pull your battery? Or you don't have your phone with you?
