How do you load an OS that has bare bones? Get rid of all of ATT crap? I'm already running out of memory on the phone and I dont have that many apps loaded, I used to be able to load a ton of apps on the blackberries, what is happening? Leave the phone for a little bit, come back and can't load anything on it.

    I'm on the 9000

Those are pushed to the device with the service books. There's really nothing you can do besides hide them in a folder.

You can download an app called BB Boss which you can use to actually shrink the OS, removing a lot of the extraneous stuff.

OK, so we download the OS that we want to run, check the changes that we want, plug in the phone and hit "go"????

I've never used the app personally, so I'm not sure. Have a look here: http://www.movedl.com/tips-tricks-fo...-shrink-os-66/

So far it isn't working at all. It can't connect to my phone for the direct shrink and it wont do the OS that i've loaded on the computer. I'm wondering if this is just for the 6 and above not 5.

I wouldn't think it would matter. The BerryReview article has a link for BB Boss 1.1, if you want to try that one instead.

I've tried downloading that but my antivirus keeps saying it's malicious. I tried the shrink a os app, and that didn't delete anything off the phone even though it says it did...wonder what is going on here.

Well, I guess it worked. The icons are still there, but when I click on memory I see
    Application memory- 30.7MB
Device Memory- Total- 879.2, Free Space- 875.4

    Is that ok?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

If your device is working I guess it's okay.
