From the initial media screen, you can use the Explore function (menu key > explore) to navigate to files, then press the menu key when highlighted on the file, select rename. You can now not only rename the file, but change the file extension as well. Renaming a file whilst in normal mode (not explore mode) does not allow you change the file extension. Not a huge need for this, just thought some might find it useful if you know what you're doing.

Anyone know how to add a BB IM contact using their cell number? My 8830 let me do that but the storm seems to only let you use a PIN or email?

Has anyone figured out how to highlight multiple messages so that they can filed or deleted. This is a big frustation for me in a BES environment.

Any Domino users out there, using Sametime? It appears that Sametime (v2.2 for the Storm) is only available in Portrait mode (Suretype), not Landscape (QWERTY)
:-( Hoping RIM will post a fix very soon.

#1: Hightlight the first message you want to delete, then moved down to the last one and put your finger on it (don't click) and it will highlight everything in between.

Thanks for the reply, MotoUp. I'll have to mess with that one a little. The first couple of times, doesnt seem to catch. Unless I am doing it wrong.

    Thanx again.

use more than one finger, i.e. highlight the first one with your thumb and the one below with your pointer finger and it will select all (multitouch)

open the message you wnt to copy/paste from, click on the screen(near the text you want to start or end from) and at the bottom, the A[(highlighted)bc] icon will light up at the bottom of the screen, click that and then click where you want t the text stop highlighting, once done, the text should be highlighed (you can keep clicking to change the endpoint) when you are finished, there are two icons now at the bottom of the screen, the one on the left(the two abc's, click that to copy) then open a new email/sms or whatever and click the blackberry button(options) and click past at the top, hope I helped!

I found out if you want to delete multiple messages highlight the date and then click the bb button and delete prior as far as save it might work the same way.
But remember if you highlight the date and then select delete prior everything prior to that date will also be deleted.

It's probably been mentioned, but I'd like a photo editing app, and something like paint as well. Although I don't know how accurate you can be with the Storm's screen.

Oh, also I'd like something as mentioned before, with scrolling.
On my Voyager, if I flicked on a scrollable menu, there was an option for vibration feedback,
    and it felt like "clicks."
So I'd like something that enables you to do the kinetic scrolling as mentioned in a previous post,
with vibration feedback and optional clicks.

I'd also like the option for some sort of haptics. Just the option. A clicky sound,
or a type-writer sound, or a frog ribbit, or any .1 second .wav or .mp3 I have on my device.

    I'd like this.
