Here is some info regarding Empower and the Storm. http://forums.pinstack.com/f171/blac...support-95002/
Long story short, Empower has plans for the Storm, but isn't dropping any info on us yet.

I haven't tried any of the other HTML email apps on the Storm other than Empower briefly. I know BBSmart was another HTML app that came out around the time when Empower launched. Here is the Developer Direct forum here on PinStack for both.

This will bring up the Help Me! page. It gives the Platform, App version, PIN, uptime, battery level, signal, file free and a few others.
    NICE ! Good one !

If you have two or more open conversations in BBM, press your menu key and select Broadcast Message. This will send a message to only the people you are currently chatting with. Also, it makes color of the message PURPLE.

Oh, also I'd like something as mentioned before, with scrolling.
On my Voyager, if I flicked on a scrollable menu, there was an option for vibration feedback,
    and it felt like "clicks."
So I'd like something that enables you to do the kinetic scrolling as mentioned in a previous post,
with vibration feedback and optional clicks.

I'd also like the option for some sort of haptics. Just the option. A clicky sound,
or a type-writer sound, or a frog ribbit, or any .1 second .wav or .mp3 I have on my device.

    I'd like this.
Well for the key sound, you can enable "key tones" in options > screen/keyboard > key tones. BUT, you have keytones ALL the time...

I know on the older os, i think .75 and .76 would work like this but I know, .83 and .85 wont work. I used to have to lock my phone and then hold the mute button on the top opposite side of the lock button. It would use the last profile that was used. For instance I always use "Normal and Vibrate" so when I hit the button it would change between those two. But I can't get this to work with this new OS either with it being locked or unlocked.

Thats the way it has to be done. The reason it doesnt work with 83 and 85 is because theyre both Beta. But thats the way it should be done yes

    I have a question:
When I add the date of birth to a contact in outlook, that birth date is added to my BB calendar. Is there a way for the age of the person to show on the calendar when their birthdate comes around.
I can't remember the ages of all my nephews, etc. and don't want to do the math each time. I had a program on my Palm device that did this. It was called "Happydays".

When in your email simply press "R'' to reply to sender. This function is simple and similar to the curve and past bb.

little confused. doesn't your screen show the strip at the bottom with reply/forward/delete options on it? seems like hitting the R would take an extra step by hitting berry button>show keyboard the R....did i miss something?

No, what you are referring to is only available once the message is selected, not hi lighted. The command I'm referring to is useful when the message is hi lighted and the key board is selected (convenience key) you go from message to reply in one step plus the keyboard is up.

This is a very good forum! Spent the last hours reading all (and I mean all) the usefull tips & tricks...

My tip: something I found out by accident:
while you're in a "Word-to-go"-file, you can start selecting text bij double-tapping (not clicking) somewhere in the text. The "cursor" gets grey. Simply tap (not click) on the other end of the text to be selected.

I hope this is clear, if not, I'd be happy to enlighten.
