    Blackberry Bold Display Problem

    Help my Bold is doing nothing but displaying multicolored lines across the screen.. I have done an OS upgrade, but still the same problem.. HELPPP! No water damage no damage of any kind.. Is it hardware?

    I'm afraid that It mighty be hardware my friend. Are you with att cause Im sure you could get a replacement and the year warranty should cover this?

    Bought it on ebay my friend, what hardware part.. lcd? because it is still functional.. Just nothing on the display..

    Yes, The LCD screen is bad.
    Now since you bought it on ebay I'm not sure if the warranty is still good. You could try http://cnn.cn I know they sell replacement LCD's or the bold.

    It may not be the screen. It could be damaged circuit board that is send bad info to the display.

    Either one will not change without replacing parts.

    Well if its lcd problems i can fix that, relatively cheap.. But if its circuit board problems I will just have to sell it on ebay.

    That is what I was trying to tell you. Most here said it had to be the LCD and that is not always true.

    Well I just ordered a LCD on ebay, but if that doesn't work oh well.. waste of 500 dollars..........

    This is a warranty issue. Mine did the exact same thing. I contacted RIM warranty. They informed me it was a manufacture defect. Warranty swap. Good luck.

    thanks Kay, I am working through RIM and my service provider on this issue. RIM says I'm covered and Rogers says I am not! But because of your feed, I am fighting the fight! thanks.
