Out of all those nobody included a video player. That's what I'm looking for now. I've tried the ones on market, but they are pretty much the same as what the gallery does.

My primary list is:

Wallpaper Set and Save
Astro File Mgr
Snap Photo Pro ( allows zooming and several other options)
any of the good app/process monitor/killers such as Advanced Task Mgr or App Control
Shoot Me ( screen grabber, but need root)
RingDroid ( make your own ringtones for ring, notifications, and contact specific)

Pandahome has a new beta for the Droid, love having the extra home screens and ability to change themes..

After using about 7 different twitter apps I have settled on Swift, I like it's UI and features the best....I would love to have tweetdeck for android like on the iphone/ipod touch....love that app and being able to update twitter and facebook as I choose.

My other useful faves are Apps Organize, Missed Call, Astro File Manager, and Handcent

Some fun ones to play with, barcode scanner, google sky map, talk to me, GPS status and of course the standards like Pandora, Shazam, and bunches of games.

One thing we need is a decent Facebook app...this one bites!

Azstar, you shouldn't have to redownload your apps. The Marketplace saves them for you. I wiped my phone a couple of days back and once I logged back on to my Google account all my apps free/paid were there on my phone. Contacts/calendar too!

That's strange. I had to manually put back my passwords into the Keeper app after the wipe and just reset my settings but that was pretty much it that I can remember. All the 15-20 apps were there when I logged back in.
