AppBrain is proving to be very useful when searching for apps and I like that it's available via browser and phone, syncs and let's you install/uninstall using both methods also.

I'm new to the Nexus One and Android. But I find the Market to be amazing. Some great free apps out there. I like CPR, Weatherbug, OSMonitor, Google Sky Map, Quick Uninstall, ATK, Speed Test, YouMail, and just for kicks, the Terminal Emulator is awesome.

For sure AppBrain. Hands down the best App on the Market as it allows for PC browsing of apps and syncs. Very nice. AppMonster, very good for backing up your apps on the SD for easy install. System Panel, great app for knowing what the phone is doing, read the tutorial. Don't use it as a task killer.

I must revise my must-have Android app list. 2 days later, it is dated. lol.

    - Last.fm App/Widget. Blows Pandora/Slacker out of the picture IMO. I have been waiting for this.
    - PdaNet
    - System Panel
    - Speed Test
    - Astro File Manager

I am in love with Android...

I'm looking for an app that will let me transfer files via wifi from my Hero to my desktop. I'm on a Mac, and I usually use Cyberduck, but I need something that will open up access to the SD card on the Hero first.

Anyone have any ideas or apps that will do this?

I use a PC, and Droid 2.1, but I use an app called "Web Sharing" to transfer files over wifi. This is one of the best apps in the market. When I was using the G1 or the my touch3g with older OS versions, I used "Afile" which doesn't work on 2.1. Check out both. Faster than a USB connection!

Last.fm in my opinion, is a must-have app if you can't be without music. Not only do you get a full-featured application that does everything last.fm does on the PC, but there's also a widget and that works well too. Just today I decided to upload some of my favorite songs from my PC to my Nexus. I put the tracks into a directory called "Music", which was inside the directory called "download". I then proceeded to go into the "Music" app. It had already found all the tracks I uploaded to my phone without me specifying which directories to look for music under. As soon as I started playing my uploaded tracks, Last.fm kicked in and said it was scrobbling my mp3's to my Last.fm profile.

    I think that is incredible.

AppAlarm and AppAlarm Lite are great. Allows me to wake up to Pandora or some other internet radio app.
