I didnt need an extra sd card. I used the one click root method. Took about 10 mins to backup, root, wipe, install rom and restore. Its awesome. Its so much faster and im loving the multi touch browser.

Definitely get the overclock widget and Cyan updater. Yeah I went with Cyan 4.0.2! I just think the Cyan ROMs run smooth.
I just tried the System Force theme. Its nice! Check it out.

Thanks for this thread!! I was going to wait another week because of the whole "goldcard" thing I was reading about back when the M.T. was first rooted. A good heads up.

Standard rom runs at 384mhz although the processor is 528mhz. Overclock lets you set to 528mhz.... or slower...theres an option where it turns it dwn when the screen is off

When running the CM rom, Cyanogen has the overclock set to rev up and down when needed. You can put the widget on your homescreen just to see the current clock speed or you can modify your own settings for both screen on and screen off. Don't turn your speed settings down too low when the screen is off or you may miss calls, etc. It's good to play around with settings until you get the desired performance you want. I just use the standard Cyanogen settings.
