Can you do Google Talk on the D1. That's an IM app and might serve your purpose.

There is no equivalent to BBM without a Blackberry, period.

iPhone users have this thing called imessenger I think or ping but I dunno about google messenger I suppose gtalk but I dunno anyone with it either. Majority of my friends are on msn messenger I wish the iPhone supported msn messenger fully instead of running that cheesy version thru I'm+

Gtalk, almost the same but you have to have a gmail account. Most everyone i know uses gmail so it wasn't a big deal for me.

Yeah I'm past that now. The bbm was awsome. But I like the g1 overall. Plus collected a couple off chat peeps. Thanks.
