BHP, try and download Swiftkey X for Tablet for your Nexus. If it accepts it, the difference is this: when you go into landscape the keyboard can be the qwerty or you can change to thumb keyboard. Give it a spin see if it works. On my Note that's the one I use, even if Swiftkey says its meant for tabs only.
I reckon with a 4.65 screen you may get away with it...

I have swype for tabs zipped. Would take a bit to upload (sprint). My only concern is it may not install. If you were rooted wouldn't be an issue. Could put in system and set permissions.

I'm liking slide it pretty decent. Taking a little getting use to but not bad. I probably wont have time to root this weekend. Going to try fitg out Tuesday. Thanks Jay.

On top of I've got to get this thing set for work tomorrow.

Not ashamed to admit my jealousy. Santa just dropped off at wrong house. There's still hope for that Red Rider though....

Wow BHP! Congrats my friend! Couldn't resist the sweet ice cream sandwich huh? How're you liking it so far? Is it truly a step above all other smartphones? Hows the screen? Is it smooth all the time?

Too many glowing reviews for this phone. Are they all true?

Liking it OK so far, You know, ICS is pretty nice but I wouldn't call it a step above all others. The screen is great and not so great. I'll explain a little later.
I need more time with it to really make a solid judgement.

Try K9 or Kaitlin email. Enhanced email is OK, most think K9 is better. I've toyed with them but really only use Gmail.
