Test worked, no force closing, seems to work fine. Why does it need sd card access?

    Thank you very much.

Very good question to which I don't have an answer lol. I'll look into it I guess. Did your phone prompt you to install it on your s card? Or was it a permission thing or something?

Whenever you install an app on Android it warns you what the app has permission to access once you install. It listed two, phone call state and sd card modify write/delete contents. It installs to phone memory not sd card

Okay I'll look into that thank you. I'm assuming then most apps you install don't say that?

Usually apps require this only if they have options like caching avatar imagesfor twitter apps, articles for rss feeds for faster loading, other data cache. I wouldn't think your little app would need that

Yeah it for sure doesn't need it, I was just wondering what happens with other apps. Okay thanks.

Most apps dont have this permission, warnings of permissions like that make users nervous about whether the app is malicious

Yes I'm aware that's why I'm trying to figure out what caused it because I never asked for those permissions.

I found out that the issue has to do with backwards compatibility with Android. Applications targeting OS 1.0 - 1.5 will automatically will request permission for read/write access for the sd card as well as phone call state.

The only way to avoid it is to target 1.6 (Donut) and above. Sucks but that's life. Thanks for your help once again.
