Using an mp3 as a ringer?

What is the easiest way to do this. I emailed myself a 190k mp3 file to my blackberry. I tried to open attachment and it gave me a conversion failed error. How can I save it to my blackberry to use as a ringer?

Use your DM to tranfer the file under your media manager. That is usually what I do!

or, enable mass-media mode. then you can drag'n'drop in windows.
2 is not equal to 3, not even for large values of 2.

yes, and put it in the ringer folder on your card. you can also use music as a ringtone, you get that option when you have a song open in the media player.

there is an easier way...when you are trying to edit ringers just scroll up in the options list to browse...from there his menu again and then choose explore...from there choose media card folder (where your mp3s should be saved anyways) then blackberry folder, then music folder, then select the song that you have placed there...hope this helps

same goes for exceptions and custom tunes for SMS and MMS and IMs and what not...all can have any of your mp3 files used by following the same steps

Getting a card would open a world of possibilities ... you can save much more music, px, etc. -- and the prices right now are very reasonable.
