    okay i have the 8100 and desktop 4.2.2. w/ media drag and dropped music in music folder, sd card is formatted. music is from itunes, it does show them in the 8100 but does not play. i select a song then it shows the arrow up thats it. i'm sure i'm missing something or is it because the music is from itunes.

    The BlackBerry can not play DRM protected media.

    Now you can cause I TUnes in removing all of there DRM from there files if U use Itunes Plus

    If you want to remove the DRM from your iTunes music, you can always burn your songs to a CD and re-import them using the mp3 encoder. It's an easy way to bypass the DRM without losing a lot of quality. Only downside is it will take hours to do if you have a lot of songs.

    I've had the same problem. Sorry to go a little off topic but what other Legal music thing is good other then iTunes, one that doesn't protect there songs. And is BB compatible?
