    Just to clear things up, you would only have to pay XM the subsription fee if you're using the XM not on the mobile device. The $8.99 per month that is billed through AT&T takes care of the XM Radio service on the phone. Just make sure that you have an unlimited data service!

    I just want to listen to my local radio stations that stream for free. I don't want to have to pay $9 a month for xm. I downloaded orb, but when I try to play my music, I get an "unsupported media type" error, so that seems useless. I can't seem to get radiobee to download -- the same sort of error. I don't know enough about this stuff to not be dangerous....

    Some people have reported good luck with the MFradio player (mfradio DOT sourceforge DOT net). It's free. There's also the mediaPlayer from www DOT dollars5 DOT com. It has a one-time cost with a free 2 week eval.
