| Perfect Blackberry 8900 Video Converter
All I have to say is wow, this thing does an amazing job. I know there are others and i tried some of them such as any video converter, all-in-1 mobile video, and wondershare blackberry converter suite (says its compatible with 8900 but it wasnt) but the thing that got the job done was......AVS video converter 6, had to download dvd43 (it will notify you if you about it) but this thing is pretty good especially with the hi-res screen. The specs on for screen size and such is found here. http://forums.pinstack.com/sitemap/t-101318.html finally i put a video on my cell phone. but $60 for unlimited version, which does video editor, tv recorder, avs media player, video to xbox and playstation. http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-converter.aspx Last edited by lcgtr; 03-10-2009 at 12:35 AM. |

Thanks but no thanks. I'm cheap so I'm not going to pay for software that can be replaced by free versions of other software. I've always used Any Video Converter for my movies and it's worked flawlessly for me.

Approximately how does the entire conversion and downloading take for typical movies onto the 8900? ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ |

copying to the 8900 is very fast. Plug the phone into USB, a flash drive shows up on PC copy to the blackberry/movies directory. Conversion is not always necessary and depends on the speed of your PC but should be realtime or faster meaning if it's a 1 hour video it should take less than 1 hour to convert. |

So we don't really need a video converter if we just drag and drop the files? Hmm whuch way is the best lol ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ |

you can always drag and drop a regular video file, that's in a supported format, to your berry. But the issue that arises is it's not full screen, quality issues with video, sound, etc., because the video isn't made for a BlackBerry device (or any other devices). So by using a video converter, you can format to be the correct size, correct Frames Per Minute, etc. It also compresses the video too: I converted my Wanted DVD from a 700MB file to 150MB file by doing this. ![]() Use whatever program you want: everyone has they favourite. But it's still best to use one for optimal playback on your device. |
