    On-BlackBerry podcast downloader?

I'm looking for a podcast manager that downloads, files, and cleans out podcasts automatically, all on the BlackBerry itself. Is there anything like this?

Nope. I don't even think an iPod has that capability

Well, an iPod can do it desktop-side via iTunes, but it should be possible for the BlackBerry to do it handheld-side since it's able to stay online 24/7, as well as run arbitrary code

Hey, if you think its possible, then make the program! I don't see where it could work and I have yet to see a program even close, but its a cool concept. I see it eating battery like crazy though. And really, there is no internet 24/7--just push emal....so if you could connect it to a push server it may work.

I came here looking for the same thing. Thought viigo might do the trick via rss, but haven't been able to get it to work. I'd love to be able to have my blackberry automatically download my days worth of podcasts every morning so that I don't have to bother with downloading them with my pc and then transfer them over to the blackberry.

I think some people are predicting that Viigo's "secret" project will support podcasts via RSS.

screenshot of the viigo secret project shows it will do it,

but i can't imagine programming an RSS reader to grab the stream and update and save the mp3 file could be that hard? i am no programmer though but someone must have some java experience?
