I think that is determined by your carrier. I'm with AT&T and I know that mms is limited to 360kb or there abouts.

I'd give your carrier a call to see how they have your account setup and if you can increase the size limit. 0.5kb is way too small for mms and I'd think they would have a larger size limit.

Also if you need to test the mms let me know and we'll work something out.

Doesn't seem to make any sense to me, since the mms is just an additional service in most cases. One thing to keep in mind here though if that is the way your carrier is running things is that you can send mms attachments via email with your BB vice sending a normal mms.

Sorry about that. When selecting a file (picture) to send via mms you should also have the option to send it as a email instead. This should let you get past the 0.5kb limit your carrier is imposing on your account without adding the additional expensive service.

    Re: Mms On Blackberry

Yes, mms would use your contacts phone number to send the file. The email option only works if you know the recipients email address. Sending via email is the only way I know of to get around the mms size limit for attached files. Down side is that not all cell phones have/can recieve emails and you would need to get the contacts email address before hand. You may want to contact your carrier again and see if they have any service plans that do include mms (and not as an add on service) that fit your needs.

I don't know about your carrier but w/ATT we can send e-mail to phone #s as
xxx-xxx-xxxx@mobile.mycingular.com (that was when it was cingular, don't know the new one for att). With the addition of new data services most carriers prob don't advertise this as it is cheaper!
