I would have to disagree, pin messages are encrypted but have share a common key. You can change this key if you have a BES but if you don't then it might not be as confidential as you think For a pro though you can actually tell when PIN messages have been delivered with a SMS you will never know unless you ask

You can't convert purchased songs from itunes to mp3 format.
Sure you can, its just a pain. I have a creative mp3, but I enjoy the ease of purchasing itunes music, so I picked up a high speed cdrw disc, when I grab a cd from itunes, burn it to an audio cd, and then use my mp3 player software to encode it to mp3. It takes a bit more time, and a bit of space as your library gets bigger, but I have a 40gb player so I don't have to worry about it.

    Works great.

I only buy iTunes + (Plus) songs from iTunes, they are AAC files, but contain no DRM. If an artist's songs are not iTunes + format, I head over to Amazon and hopefully purchase the same music in mp3 format (no DRM) which also is often cheaper than iTunes. After downloading the Amazon MP3's, I just add the files into iTunes and I am good to go.

    Select the songs you want.
    Burn to a CD.
    Rip to your computer.
    Transfer to your Curve.
    Voila.
