Not really, but when I go to play a video with the media player, the video never fills the entire screen. Does anyone know why this is?

I don't use video much, but I believe video sizes are established as a ratio of screen width to screen height.

If you went full screen, some of the image would be lost.

A video encoded for 320x240 will display full screen assuming the source is also in that ratio. i.e. If you transcode a letterbox movie you won't see it full screen or you would be clipping. (no pan and scan)

You can use the free gspot utility (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) to understand what the format of your video is.
