How to install .jad files? Newbie

    Hi,

I've downloaded a few apps (example "findit.jad" GPS software) that I'd like to install on my BB. The extention is .jad, but Desktop Manger -> Application Loader only allows .alx and .ali files to be installed.

I think some OTA installs use .jad files, how come I can't use DM to install?

    JAD is for OTA download.

You have to navigate using the build in browser of your BB to the page where you got them...

Another option (i have not tried, so i do not know if it works) is sending this jad files as attachments to the email account setup on your BB and see if it recognize them.

    cheers

I have a question. Couldn't you just make a directory with the .jad and .jar files. Then make a html document with a link to the .jad file on your phone?
