Before you try the above, did you do a battery pull reset (Take battery out with BB on then wait at least 30 seconds before putting it back in)?

Ok, why don't you try unistalling the blackberry desktop software from your computer and re-install..
Follow instructions here on doing a complete "clean" unistall of the bb desktop software..
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/searc...%200%203796142
Then install the latest desktop software and let us know how it goes!

With the blackberry connected to your pc, go to control panel - system - device manager.
Look for items with a yellow sign next to them and for items with a red x next to them
    Yellow - click and unistall
Red - Click and "enable device" - if they turn yellow after enabling, click unistall
Look on the modems field - There should be two modems, one is your computer's internal modem, 2 is the blackberry modem driver. If you see a standard modem - unistall
Usb controllers - Look for an item that says RIM - if found, unistall.
After doing this, disconnect your bb from your pc, restart your pc and after it boots, connect the bb. Let if find drivers again the open desktop manager..See if this works

OK..do you know how to go into safe mode on your pc?
If so, go to safe mode, control panel-system-device manager-look for the same items (blackberry or rim in modems com ports, usb, etc) remove them all, plus remove all everything under usb field or controllers..
Restart tghe computer without connecting the blackberry...it will find all usb ports again, etc..
Once this happens, try connecting the blackberry again without oppening desktop manager - when it finds and installs everything, try desktop manager again..
See if this works!...Anyone else want a help?
