    custom ringtone

This is not your typical custom ringtone question. I have uploaded a few songs to my media card to be used as ringtones for various people. To test them out I first tested them on my home phone number - that way I can just call myself from home instead of waiting for the friend to call to see what it sounds like. Now under my home phone number it shows a "custom ringtone" and whatever song I decide on, which I know I can set back to the default one. But is there a way just to get rid of that setting so it defaults by itself?

FYI - if you are using a custom ringtone on your Pearl and have it set to vibrate 2 times before ringing, the song will last 17 seconds. This is with the standard T-Mobile settings which I understand you can change. Just thought somebody would like to know if they are trying to edit songs like I do. What can I say, I'm a recording engineer!

What do you mean "But is there a way just to get rid of that setting so it defaults by itself?". I don't understand what you are trying to do? Once you save a setting for Custom Tone for a contact in the Address book, The only way to remove the setting totally is to delete the exception in the Profiles List. Is that what you mean?

    Hope this helps

Scroll to highlight the Exception you want to delete, Open the Menu, Select Delete, Confirm Delete.

    That should do it.

...good info. I hardly have my device(s) on ringer, but, great info nonetheless.
