I have a Blackberry 8830 and we use Packet 8 for our corporate phone. When I get an email from the phone system with a new voice mail as an attachment it comes thru with a file extension of .au and I cannot play this file on the Media player. Does anyone know of any software that I can install on my 8830 that can convert this to an MP3 so I can listen to the message. I have talked with the people at Verizon and they are basically useless.

I have never heard of anything like what you are asking for.

I'm pretty sure it would have to be converted 1st then sent to your BB.

Maybe someone else can chime in if they have ever heard of such an app.

Where I work, we use Cisco for our phone system. We have sometype of email system set up where a shared voicemail comes to a shared inbox in our Outlook that is auto-converted to an MP3 attachement. Not sure about a converter for after the original conversion (to .au).

I'll try to get more info and report back.

I have the same issue. Did you ever get a solution for this?
