With the new 8520 Curve and the extreme 9700 Bold, and the upcoming 9650 for the cdma folks and the new 9100 SuperPearl with Six Point Oh!! you may think this statement is crazy: Mark my words, Berry fans, it will not be long until there is a resurrection of the old 7290!! If I were you, I'd head over to Ebay right away and snap up one or two of those $30 used 7290s, and soon you will be the ENVY of all your Bold-Toting jealous friends!!

The 7290 is the 2nd best Blackberry ever made - If you don't think so, it's because you never had the privilege of using one. Razor sharp, fast, accurate, by far the best QWERTY on any handheld ever.

Here's what would be cool: Everything that is coming out on the new Berrys (3G, Wi-Fi, 624processor, 360 by 480 resolution on a 2.44 screen, optical trackpad, microSD slot [32gb], a gig of memory, 3.2mp camera with video, etc etc) in a classic Blueberry chassis. Now, that would be rock and roll heaven! I'd call it the 9720 (7290 mixed up) and the name would be "SuperBold".

Don't laugh - Here at Pinstack, I said the coolest thing would be a flip from BB - and then less than a year later, Pearl Salad (8220). I predict a 9720 SuperBold in less than 18 months. The 7290 will be back!

If I could swap the internals of my 8530 into my 8830 World Edition chassis, I would.........'nuff said.
