OK, a little help for a new 7290

I can't charge or turn on my Cingular 7290... all I get when I put my battery in is the LED lite blinking red 4 times. What has happened and what can I do to get it fixed?

I tried charging it, putting a fully charged battery in it with the same result. I tried my battery in another 7290 and it worked fine.

    HELP!

Not sure what to do, but what I would do is return it for a new one...

I would take it to a Cingular store and see if a Tech is on hand to check it out for you. Then you can go from there. I hope you have equipment replacement insurance or is it still under warranty in case the device is faulty which it sounds like it definitely is. Hope it works out for you.

Hi derelict, I agree with stacey and msbrenda. Bring it in and get it checked out, hopefully replaced on the spot. Good luck.

I used a 7290 before and I had the same problems. I thought my unit was dead, so I opened it up and used an air can to clear out some dust. put the battery back in and it came up. I was also able to charge it. I put it back together and it works fine.
