~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Dont get frustrated. It takes a few minutes when you send messages close to five in some cases.where are you from?

    Re: newbie going crazy!

I'm in Nashville. None of the emails I've tried sending whether it be for testing or actual replies have gone through. Even the ones I sent yesterday and last week!! Also, everytime I try to send one a message comes back from the blackberry network that says to not delete, move or respond as it will be processed by the server...what's up with that?

Quick question, are you on a BIS (webclient) or BES (corporate email)?

I would try the following and see if they work:

    1) Go to your account website, delete the problem address, then re-add it and test it.
    2) While on the website, resend the service books.
    3) Go to Options>Settings>Advanced Settings>Host Routing Table>Click the trackwheel>Register Now.

    Re: newbie going crazy!

Okay, well I've done this and still all I'm getting is the message from the network that says to not delete it. My BB is giving me the message that I have set it up correctly. I deleted both the BB email address and my local email and only set up the local one. It is necessary to have a BB email as well, correct? I have gone around so many blocks with this thing I am completely confused!!

You don't have to have a blackberry address but some do.

If you're getting those "don't delete this email" emails, it sounds like you've also installed DM's Redirector.

If you're on BIS, you do not need (nay, shouldn't even use or setup) Redirector for those BIS emails. That will just not work (as is likely happening now).

Did you install and run Redirector?

    Re: newbie going crazy!

Not that I'm aware of. Seems like I may have gone that route in the beginning. But I found out the software I had was out-of-date and downloaded the new version. It seemed to have overwritten what I had. It sent me back through the setup process and I chose the BIS at that time without any kind of redirector. Should I uninstall and start all over? It's bizarre that I'm receiving emails, but not able to send them.

It's not that bizarre. Because you set your device up with DR it tries to send email through your BIS server first. You haven't got one so you get the ETP messages which is how a BB sends email through a BES.

Disconnect your BB from your PC. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Books and remove any SB that is called Desktop [something]. Then, on your PC remove the BlackBerry software and re-install it, making sure that you do not check the options for using OutLook or Notes.

    tannu_ec, Welcome to PinStack.

Reinstalling your Handheld OS may help cure this problem. What BB are you using? Are you on a BES or are you using BIS? Is the a new BB? It would really help you get faster responses if you included your Device Type, Carrier, OS version and BES status in your PinStack Profile.
