It is safe to unlock your BlackBerry. Just contact Nextel's BlackBerry support and ask them for the unlock code for your phone. I don't know how long you have to be an active customer in good standing (no late bills, etc). I also know that you can get it if you email them your device type, phone number, last 4 numbers of your SS#, account holder's name and something else (I forgot what it was), they will send it to you. At least that's what T-Mobile does. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ a NEXTEL blackberry can't be unlocked. Maybe to use overseas but not to use with a gsm.

Probably not helpful but an unlocked 7520 could theoretically work on the telus network in Canada. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ |
