    Email Help Needed - 7250

When I first received my Verizon 7250 BB, I went online to search for information on pushing my AOL email to my BB. I found a site that containted all the information and entered all my appropriate information (PIN etc.). Anyway, my email works greats and is being forwarded to my BB without any problems, but I have no idea who my provider is or how to contact them for support (it think it's SmartMedia). I tried calling Verizon to have the email service switched over to them, but they can't access my device since the PIN is already registered. Can anyone tell me how I can cancell SmartMedia and switch my email service over to Verizon????

Can you clarify this a bit more? If your email is being pushed from AOL (who are a provider) and it's working, I don't see where SmartMedia come in to it.

I'm sure of the terminolgy, but my understanding that that the email "push" is provided by a third party....normally the cell phone provider. In my case, I didn't realize that initially and signed up for 3rd party "push" service through a third party which IS NOT my cell phone provider. There doesn't seem to be any real problem with the arrangement I have other than I don't have the support I would have if the "push" service was through Verizon.

The "Push" service comes from RIM. A BES or BIS 2.0 will retrieve your mail and forward it to the BlackBerry Network. The BlackBerry Network then forwards the email to your device. The Cellphone company doesn't provide the push. They provide the transport - GPRS/iDEN/CDMA.

Well then....I need to change who is "retreiving" my email and forwarding it Blackberry Net. Verizon cannot seem it initiate the switch because they don't have control of my PIN or whatever they need. SmartMedia has no contact information, so I can't contract them to have their service cancelled.

I've never heard them called smartmedia before. What's the PIN of your device?

So, you went to a third part website, set up email forwarding, now want to stop the forwarding, easy enough if you can get back to that website!
