    Deleting an Application

Can anyone tell me how to delete an application on a 7250? I've deleted it from the options/applications but the icon is still on the main screen.

I've run into the same issue and looked everywhere, including applications, modules, but cant find any sign of the application still on my device. I have a 7250 also. I've resigned myself to hiding the icon until I decide to wipe my device again sometime down the line.

What App are you trying to delete? Have you tried a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 sec, Battery Back in)?

    Hope this helps

Thx for letting me know I'm not alone with this problem. I would be happy to hide the icon. Can you tell me how to do that? Please and thank you.

The App I'm trying to delete is the spot for BB.

With the icon highlighted, try pressing Alt and clicking the trackwheel at the same time. You should get the option of hiding the icon.

Breezer, I believe Spot uses a network connection to access the maps, does it not? Check Options/Advanced Optons/Service Books for a service book for SPOT. If it's there, delete it. Do another cold reboot and check if your Icon has been deleted.

    hope this helps

I tried to find advanced options and there isn't one under Options. I have a 7250 with Bell Mobility. Things are never that simple it seems for me and my BB friend

You don't have an entry for Service Books? That's unusual. I don't know what to say.

Thumbs down Re: Deleting an Application

I am having the same problem with BB maps, I deleted LBS from the applications program but the maps are still there, I did remove the battery and no luck, iam sure there is a service book for the BB maps but not sure which one it is. None of my service books show anything about maps on it. Can anyone tell my how the service book is labeled, then i can delete the right service book. Thanks so much for your help

    Re: Deleting an Application

There are many ways to delete something from your BB...

Check applications, modules or service books.

Also sometimes you can run desktop manager and delete from there.
