    Arrow Boost?

    Hi. I'm new here.

My friend gave me his Nextel BlackBerry 7520 because it wasn't compatible with Verizon. I want to know if I can use it on Boost Mobile, because I don't want to be on another contract.

I'm a little bit confused as to if it will work or not; in my various searches I've heard things like, "that's not possible" to "just put the SIM in it."

What I want to know is:
    • Will it or will it not work?
    • What will I need in order to browse the web?
      • Opera Mini? Where can I get it?
      • Service Books? Where can I get them?
    • Where can I download the BlackBerry Desktop Software?
    • Is BES available as an addon for Microsoft Exchange Server?
    Thanks so much!

Welcome to the Stacks. You can use a Blackberry with a Boost SIM, however, it can only be used as a phone. I do not believe you can get a Blackberry data plan on a pay-as-you go service.

You can get it unlock to get it work on any iDEN network but on boost I don't see any reason since they don't offer any BB services

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I wasn't aware that there was any iDEN network in the U.S. Other than Nextel. I just learned something new. Thanks.

    Re: Boost?

There are many iDEN providers in the US.

    Boost Mobile

    Southern Link

    Extend America

    Nextel Partners

    and Nextel of course.

Thats not including all the iDEN providers across the world!

~via BB 7520~i had tryed to do just that maby and ended up with a contract to use the berry services.. three hundred free incoming 39.95 and unlimited data/black berry service 39.95
That's with a two year agreement
But if you sweet talk the sales person you can get a one year and maby get the two year price
And maby you can use the service books that are on the berry now
    You can only try
