    Blackberry Crash!

ABout two days ago I started having problems wih my bb 7290 i was displaying the eeEEeeiiiwhatever and the 365, 114 errors, and prefetch exceptions and TUC exceptions. Later that evening it turned on and was normal until the following afternoon. It is now displaying the error 365, after trying throughout the night I was able to get the device to connect to my pc using the steps outlined by pentace but it will not complete the installation, its fails at the initialize device step. I have tried several times, with and without battery each time I receive the message "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation." I tried to do the javaloader swipe, but the bb will not connect there either "unable to opn port" I have seen on here where people are having sucess with this same problem unfortunately no luck for me, Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thankyou

My advice would be to call customer service and have them troubleshoot it. All those issues, they will most likely have to send you a replacement bb.

Having said that, hug your BB for me and tell it how sorry you are that you have to replace it. I've found that 7290's have very delicate feelings.

    Re: Blackberry Crash!

MY advice for you is to keep trying using these instructions...

    1. Install the desktop software. Desktop Manager 4.1 or Desktop Manager 4.2
    2. Install the handheld software. 7290 4.1
    3. Pull the battery out of your device.
    4. With the battery out connect the device to the computer.
    5. Go to Options and select "connection settings"
    6. Select USB PIN this may take a few moments since there is no battery in the device. you might even have to select detect device in some rare cases.
    7. Select the application loader icon.
    8. Select all software you want installed.
    9. Proceed to the end portion untill you see the "Finish" button.
    10. Very IMPORTANT. do not hit the finish button, instead select the ADVANCED button.
    11. Make sure both boxes are checked.
    12. Proceed until it asks you if you want to automatically back up and restore. Select DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY BACK UP MY HANDHELD.
    13. Once the process starts. take care not to bump the cord and re-insert the battery. Again on some rare occasions you might have to wait until it finishes saying connect to insert the battery.

Follow these instructions and repeat the steps if necessary.

I think she's talking about the password you have to enter when you go to Options>Settings>Security Settings>General Settings and click the trackwheel and choose "Wipe Handheld" from the pull down menu. That password is "blackberry" (which, by the way, can be changed to whatever you want).

    Re: Blackberry Crash!

it was a password to reinstall the OS, well since the consequence for entering it wrong ten times is a wipe and thats what I'm going for I entered blackberry ten times until it said it was going to wipe it but it didnt and now its back to the "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation blackberry" Thank everybody for their input, but I fear all is lost. I was realy just hoping to fix it and not have to suffer through monotony of prescribed customer service walkthroughs, but it looks like thats where I am headed

    Re: Blackberry Crash!

I've found that synchronizing my 7290 using Bluetooth sometimes causes it to crash. Shut off the Bluetooth function ... no more crashing.

    Anyone else experienced this?

I am a novice BB User. I recently got an old BB 7250. I wanted to know how to install a sim card in it. It that possible? Does it take sim card at all?

    thanks for the help.

Thumbs up You may try this

My bb pearl used to crash frequently. Most of the crashes are due to memory leak or something. I am not very sure. The problem is alleviated after I install a software named MemoryUp - BlackBerry Memory Booster. You can find more details at http://www.emobistudio.com/memoryup_bb.html. This piece of software is worth a try for your problem.
