    just got 2 BB 7520's from eBay. When I power them up up comes a box requesting me to set a password. It want letters numbers and special symbols. Whats up with that? Can I get rid of that after I get its setup? It wants a long PITA password.

    It sounds like it was set up on a BES with an IT policy that required a password, and that policy was not removed before it was wiped. You are going to have to do a new OS load using the application loader in your Desktop Manager Software...

    Well thats not it loaded and upgraded the OS and same thing "NEW PASSWORD"

    Anyone have any idea?

    Another thing strange thing about this BB is in the options area there isn't a SIM CARD option to allow the downloading the SIM phonebook.

    Thanks cp6169 it worked and I was able to get rid of that password nag. As for the SIM CARD field in the new version of OS they moved it under ADVANCED OPTIONS. Again thanks for you expert help.
