Maybe one of our local experts on these could help out.

    Re: 7280 Vs 7290

Well the best way to find out would be to go to the Blackberry Handheld Devices and click on the Compare Blackberry Devices link. When I did that, the only differences were the 7290 Supports BlueTooth Headsets 7280 doesn't and the 7290 has double the memory of the 7280. and the 7280 supposedly has one more day of batterylife over the 7290. Eaten up by the BT and memory probably.

    Hope this Helps

Well, I don't know about you financial situation, but if you're going to upgrade, I wouldn't stop at the 7290, but go whole hog and get th 8700c. Do a comparison at the link I provided between the three and see for yourself. I went from a 7290 t0 the 8700 and haven't looked back.

    Hope this Helps

    Re: 7280 Vs 7290

Oh yes, absolutely. I din't mean to go to the 7290, there is no point. The one I really want to get is the 8700. However $400.00 is a little too much for me right now. My plan expires in April so hopefully then I can get a nice discount on a new 8700.

    Thansks!

But by then, the 8700 will probably be outdated, and you'll really want the successor!

If you do much traveling, the 7290's quadband will cover the gsm globe for you real well. I have a 7280 which in only a triband. It has served me well in my travels which mostly include North America and Europe.
