okay. Just inherited this blackberry. Somebody else wasn't using it, so I got lucky, and get to use it right now. Except: I got 600 phone numbers on here that aren't mine, don't pertain to me, and I don't need. I got bluetooth on my MacBook that won't allow me to browse device (prolly a good reason there, and a pocketmac that reads "unable to connect to CrackBerry. reason: skipping. I've resorted to that because there seems to be no way to just delete the entire address book on my 7130E. I could always do a system reset (which I don't know how to do either), but I don't want my spidersolitare app. to disappear, and I don't know if that will happen.

What it boils down to: how do you get rid of 600 contacts without a hitman?

Next I'm gonna try and figure out how to put on 400 contacts, but that's not important now.

    Re: Yeah, trying to sync.

You can go to options, security, general, then click the wheel and choose wipe handheld.

It will take away spider solitaire, but you can download it free from www.mobile.blackberry.com.

Any other questions let us know.

Hi. You can download a free copy of PocketMac if you haven't already, then set your first synch to overwrite the BlackBerry with your own contacts. I have done it a couple of times while playing with a 7130g and it works, all old data replaced with my new data. Kills two bird with the one projectile.

How old is your Macbook? The earlier ones have Bluetooth hardware that isn't fully compatible with the later BlackBerrys. I have to use a USB Bluetooth device to synch - the hardware in my iBook, Macbook and iMac didn't work even though they were all less than two years old. They would pair with the BlackBerrys but wouldn't see all the profiles and wouldn't allow them to act as tethered modems or Synch by Bluetooth. As an added bonus, I can now use a third party external Bluetooth keyboard and a Skype phone. The original Bluetooth hardware on the Macs wouldn't recognise either one. There seems to have been some jumps in Bluetooth standards in the past few months that are not compatible with earlier versions - something that I suspect is the primary cause of many people's complaints about Bluetooth synching difficulties.

    Regards

    Jeff
