bberry124, Welcome to PinStack. I really can't help with this question, but wanted to direct you to the Mac and BlackBerry Forum for more assistance. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB. Rcbjr |

I'd love to know theses answers to. Updates from BlackBerry site download as .exe (NO - I do not want boot camp on my mac!) and PocketMac 'Check for Updates' just takes me to the PocketMac page at discoverblackberry. can't seem to find any software on the t-mobile UK site either (although I'm sure that'll be a .exe to!) |

I had the same problem....its not possible unless using Boot Camp or the sorts (i think) However whilst i will never move away from MAC (which i have at home), but office uses PCs so it solves all my problems....although i think my boss think i stay late to work rather than reload BBs..... |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ OS = no go. PocketMac 4 should be able to do app installs, but I've not gotten it to work. And like tmag, I have Mac at home (which will NEVER change!), and windows at work (which sadly will also never change). So if I need to do anything to my BlackBerry, I do it at work. |

~via BB(wap.pinstack.com)~ yes you need to install windows. Boot camp just gives the ability to do this.

I would recommend not installing Boot Camp/Windows XP on your new Mac as I've heard the process of updating your OS on the Blackberry by this system is unstable at best. For how frequently this process comes up, I would recommend doing this on a Windows computer that has the BB Desktop already installed. Its quick and easy and you likely would only do this once a year at most. Second, most of the apps you will want to add to your Blackberry have OTA downloads (Over The Air), and a simple email to the developer will get you a link if you cannot find it. I have numerous 3rd party apps installed...see below: Berry 411 v3.5 Bookmark Manager (PocketMac) Opera Mini Google Maps Handango in Hand BbCorrector Ascendo Datavault 3.0 CirclePopper Pocketday 4.23 Klondike Medieval Kings2 Sol Mania 4.2 Go Skip Lastly, Pocketmac 4 will install some apps, but not themes for me so far, but it will work, too. Good luck!! |
