yes that's right mac fans you now might be able to run bb desktop software within mac os. you don't have to have a copy of parallels destop or windows, but best of all you don't have to restart you mac just to use bootcamp.. i must
mention i have not tested this yet and will do a.s.a.p

all you need is a copy of Crossover!!! it's till in beta but you can download a free trial version off they website

BB Desktop Manager isn't on the supported applications page though, unless it ahsn't been updated?

Alas, I am still "classic" Mac: 17" iMac G4 1 GHz and a 12" PowerBook G4 1.5 GHz.

I won't be upgrading to the cross-dressing Mac-Intel until at least June '07.

I bought a MacBook Pro 15" 1.83 dual core and love it. I also had a TIBook 400Mhz, 12" Ibook 800Mhz and a 12" powerbook 1.3Ghz over the past 10 years. Love OS X, just wish it had more support.

have tryed to install desktop manager 4.1 guys but unable to get app to finish install??? half way through the install crossover freezes and is unable to cont

forcing you to quit crossover. i do believe someone has got desktop manager to work using crossover in linux

Thats a shame... Hopefully someone will get it working (or maybe we'll see a specific client for the Mac?)

Yeah, we shouldn't be forcing a Mac through a window.

The real problem here is RIM not developing a proper DM for Mac.

Just because you can put low-grade leaded fuel into your car doesn't mean you do.

I use Parallel or BootCamp depends on the environment I'm working at for a true PC environment on my MacBook. Both work like a champ! Sure beats the day of VPC for the Mac...

I do not getting up n running with parallels and USB BB connection. Which version are You using from parallels? How to setup this?

Had the same problem with parallels, couldn't get bb to connect via usb. If anyone could tell me how they got it to work that would be great?? Using boot camp and getting sick of restarting
