Assuming you know these, but just incase you aren't aware:
well since you came from a Windows machine you should have a Windows install CD.. if so you can use Boot Camp (on your Leopard install disk), which will allow you to dual boot Mac/Windows or VMWare or Parallels, which allow you to run Windows inside your Mac (as if it were just another program). That will let you use Desktop Manager still

Also check out PocketMac (free) to sync data with your Mac applications

srl7741, you really don't need to go to the trouble of installing Windows on your machine b/c you can work your BB just fine w/o the Desktop Manager. Just use PocketMac or Missing Sync (which is what I use but it's not free) PocketMac lets you install apps though, MS does not. Feel free to shoot me a PIN if your have more detailed questions.
It is whatever I say it is...

New MAC user here as well, but Steve and I have already talked about that. =-)

PocketMac is giving me issues though, giving me an error that it can't connect to the BB, but I haven't been playing with it too much yet, so we shall see.

Spaces is great, it will be one of those feature where someday we will look back and say "how did we ever get along before?"

Anyway.....I installed Vista and made the new Mac a duel bootable machine. For now i'm using the Vista side for my BB maintainace needs. Everything is working great. I love using the BT transfers.

    Re: New Mac user

One thing I am running into, is i can't get my isight to work with leopard.

It seems like a plug it in, and the green light comes on and 3 seconds later it goes off. I haven't had the time yet to get on the mac forums and find out what's going on, so if anyone else has leopard and a tower with an isight and had the same problems, please let me know.

    A little background:
G4 tower, 1GB RAM, 500GB hd with 250GB 2ndary drive, 23" HD Cinema monitor and an iSight (Not built in).
    -------
BTW, anyone use Firefox on their mac and use "Speed Dial"?

    That+Spaces=OMG.
