Question Mac not recognizing BB bluetooth

I have a MacBook - less than a yr old. - just bought a BB Pearl and LOVE it - but I can't get my Mac to recognize my BB or headset via Bluetooth even though I have them paired. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

No - I sync thru PocketMac and my USB but want to be able to share files back and forth. Access my documents, pictures, etc. I have an 8100 Pearl and a MacBook.

Re: Mac not recognizing BB bluetooth

I've been trying as well and I haven't been able to get anything more than Address book over BT. The pearl should have come with a USB cable, you can do all of that stuff with the USB. I have an 8800 and a new Macbook and drag photos and such, no problem.
To get photos, movies and music you will need to enable mass storage for your SD card. I can't put other files on the SD card right now, just multimedia. If you need a Word or pdf file, email it to yourself. Hope this helps.

sending files from Mac to Blackberry

Wish I had less steps, but this is what works. If anyone else has less steps, feel free to make modifications.

    Bluetooth Pairing: Blackberry and Mac

    1. enable Bluetooth on Mac
    2. make sure Mac is set for discoverable
    3. enable Bluetooth on Blackberry
    4. allow Blackberry to discover Mac
    5. when prompted for passkey on Blackberry, enter a simple passkey (i.e. 1111)
    6. your Mac should then prompt you to enter the passkey (same passkey as above)
    7. you should see your Mac as a paired device on your Blackberry as well as in the Mac's
    Bluetooth devices list

To send files from Mac to Blackberry via Bluetooth

    1. open Bluetooth preferences on Mac
    2. select option to show Bluetooth status in menu bar
    3. Click Sharing tab
    4. Select Bluetooth File Transfer service
    5. Click Start
    6. on Mac menu bar, click Bluetooth icon
    7. Click Send File...
    8. browse to appropriate folder and select file(s)
    9. on Blackberry navigate to destination folder
    10. click Blackberry options button
    11. scroll to Receive Using Bluetooth
    12. on Mac click send
    13. when dialogue window pops up, select your Blackberry device
    14. When prompted on Blackberry, accept connection from your Mac
    15. save file (rename the file if you wish. you can rename it later as well)

    16. when done end Bluetooth sessions on both devices to conserve battery
