Help with video playback!
What's up Mac users! I was trying to get a movie to play on the pearl I just purchased but I keep getting an error message! I rip a DVD with handbrake and made sure the specs were right: MPEG4/AAC audio/framerate-15/aspects 320w-240h. Still can't get it to play! Yes I do have a 1gbmd installed. Any suggestions on what I should do to get video playing on my Pearl.
Re: Help with video playback!
I use mencoder and it's worked very well for me so far. It's a free bin to download and you can just use the terminal client to run this command line:
mencoder -vf scale=240:135 <input.file> -o <output.file> -of avi -ofps 15 -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=230:acodec=mp3:abitrate=64
This site has an automator script to automate the proccess:
