    ejecting BB from Mac

Hi all. so I tried syncing my BB 8700c to my mac powerbook (ppc) using PocketMac and it worked great. Thing is the BB registers on the USB port (in systems profiler) but there is no way for me to eject it. I don't see it on the desktop. Question is, do I need to eject it? I've just been shutting the mac and BB down to avoid problems but that could get old after a while. I'm not quite ready to risk just pulling the USB cable from the BB yet.

Never had any problem from unplugging it directly on a PC but never tried on a MAC yet
I'm french canadian so I can also help you in french, just PM me
UNLESS it is for a BETA OS, it's at your own risk and I won't support it

    Re: ejecting BB from Mac

    Hi moldy,

I'm a pearl user with MacIntel. I usually just unplugged the USB cable when I've done with all syncing processes. I'm not familiar with 8700, but pearl has a Micro SD card. When I enabled the 'mass storage' feature for that MSD card, then I ejected the 'mass storage' first before I unplugged the USB. If you turned on this feature, it will shows on your desktop as you may experienced with USB FlashDrive. Hopefully this helps.

    hi,
I use pocketmac with my powerbook. It doesnt show on the desktop for me either. but after synching, the display on the bb will change from the synching screen back to your theme screen and you can then unplug it. I do this with my 8700 at least once a week.

Be careful in the future though, if you do get a BB with a separate memory card (pearl, curve, 8800), the memory card will show up as a flash drive on your desktop, and if you don't eject it there, you could run into problems and lose data.
