    I have seen all the tethering topics and now I am really confused. I have 8100 that I would like to use with my Mac. I have registered for dial up internet with 295.com, so waht i am trying to do now is simply use my 8100 as a dial up modem with my Mac, how would i do this, I am with rogers so every other way is really pericie

    not sure what 295.com is.
    using your BB to tether may not be such a great idea with Rogers, I am not sure. Do you have an umlimited data plan on your BB? If not, tethering uses ALOT of data which could run your bill over hundreds of dollars if you are on a capped data plan.

    regarding macberry tether set up
    check here, since I am not positive how to do this.

    thats why i dont want to use it as a data modem. What i am trying to do is simply use my berry as a fax modem, 295 is a dial up service such as aol. What ultimatly the idea is just to use my phone as phone line that allowes me to connect to dial up. Hence the only thing that is being charged is the minutes.

    Any ideas, and who should i contact about this if no one has an idea, mac or bb support.
