For now, yes. Unless you wanna install Windows on your mac. Then you can run the Desktop Manager. PocketMac will only sych data, you cannot use it to instal apps on your BB.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

It does work, but it's limited. There is no 'intellisync' (ie: field mapping).

Just do it and hope it works the way you would like.

If you've got NOTHING on your BB, then go ahead with PocketMac, but don't try merging data, there is not knowing what may happen.

    Re: Blackberry and macbook

I use pocket mac on my macbook pro and it works fine. Do always back up your calendars and address book as the BB can delete things that you may need. I only use the mac for input and generally delete all info on the BB before syncing everytime. This is achievable with data purge and sync clean. If you have other devices using iSync confusion can also arise. I'm also experimenting with windows on the mac. Parallells (a windows emulator) doesn't let you use the BB desktop manager but with a full windows install via boot camp everything works great. Can't justify the purcahse of windows however just to sync a BB. Stick with the pocketmac and it's free.

    Re: Blackberry and macbook

Pocketmac does the trick syncing with my macbook pro and my G5. Everyone I know these days either has a Mac or is switching over. I Walk past any cafe in Manhatten that has intrenet and I see atleast 1 person always sitting there with a Mac Usually more. I really think that Blackberry should really step it up a bit when it comes to Mac software and so should the 3rd party developers.

Not true, you can install programs that you downloaded in a zip file...

    Just:

    Utilities>Install Software to Device
it's always greener with the other carrier...
