    What Would You Do?

Okay since Ive been using my Pearl as a dedicated media player along with its other everyday functions (which drain enough battery life as it is), my battery life has really taken a hit.

Heres what Ive been trying to decide between...Should I buy another stock BB Pearl Battery and carry two batteries around or should I buy a Seidio extended life battery?

It depends on whether or not you mind replacing the battery during the day or not. Buying a second OEM battery will give you more total battery power, but you also have to deal with the inconvenience of replacing the battery when the first one runs out. The extended battery costs more and gives you less overall energy, but you don't have to worry about switching batteries midday. I personally would rather have the extended battery because of the inconvenience two batteries would cause.

I have been doing this since my 7100t. Each time I have changed models I have received different batteries. However, I started buying the extended batteries from RIM for more than 1 day of use. Since I found out about Seidio, I have purchased all of their extended batteries (waiting on the newest one released).

This is much easier than carrying 2 batteries in my opinion.

    Re: What Would You Do?

I'm cheap, I don't think that the new Seidio extended battery for the 8130 gives enough extra juice for the buck.

Maybe the ones for the other models are better, but since it's more than twice the price and only 30% more power, I'd rather buy a regular OEM one from here for 19.99. I already bought the cheaper one and switching the battery is not a big deal to me.

Maybe it's the single parent in me, but I always look at cost vs. a minute of inconvenience while changing the battery.

Extended. Some days you may not even feel like watching a show or listening to a tune. Itll be nice to just have that extra juice in the battery.
